Beach Day/Reading Day
We celebrated our combined Beach Day and Book/Reading Day today and enjoyed a little time with our second grade friends reading in the family room.
Different Cloud Types
As one of our extra activities this week, we read the book called Cloudette and then talked about the different kinds of clouds. We went outside with our cloud viewers and decided that it wasn’t a very cloudy day for this activity (bummer) but did see some cirrus clouds. After that, we used cotton balls to depict the different types of clouds.
Woodland Animal Research
We spent time over the past couple of days researching woodland animals for our mini-camping unit. First, the kids looked through books, and then we used Pebble Go on the Chromebooks to do further research. We organized our information into these foldables and will be working on making presentations on the iPads with our newly learned knowledge.

2nd Grade Kahoot
We got all of the 2nd graders together in the Family Room on Friday afternoon to play a little Kahoot. We started off with a Kahoot to see how well they knew their second grade teachers (lots of fun) and then finished up with a math review Kahoot. A good time was had by all!
