Capitalization Detectives

Today in Writer’s Workshop, we practiced being capital letter detectives.  We talked about a variety of reasons why authors use capital letters in their work.  They then used a piece of sample writing to search for capital letters and then talk with their carpet buddy about why the author used the capital letters.
